Reviews
Placed perfectly on the promenade, staring at the Spinnaker building, this Italian restaurant is so elegant. Delicious meals with a variety on their menu, including drinks and the vibe on the deck area is just unmatched.
Lots of comfortable seating and attentive staff on arrival. I had the avocado on toast with poached eggs. It was ok, not as much avocado as I would’ve liked but the eggs were cooked well. Hubby had the traditional breakfast with orange juice. No complaints there and orange juice was fresh. Coffee was very nice! Price was only a little above average but more annoyed at the forced 12.5% gratuity on the bill. I prefer to make my choice regarding tips and felt 12.5% was more than I would’ve paid for service of a breakfast. Unfortunately for that reason I wouldn’t choose to go again, which is a shame as it had a nice ambience. (Just to add, it’s not that I wouldn’t leave a tip, but prefer to be given the choice!)
Nice location, food was fine although probably a little overpriced for what it was. But overall a decent meal.
We went there, because Thai place next door had a really long waiting time (despite half of the tables outside beeing empty) Carluccios was a great choice. Top notch service. Everyone there was great. Food was pretty good too, only reason I'm giving 4* for that is that I know much better places elsewhere and been to Italy many times. Also the size of my portion was a bit small for a main dish. Extra points for the fantastic views from their terrace, especially at sunset. And once again compliments to the staff. In many places the service is the weak point (especially after pandemic) but here - every member of staff was great, doing their job with a smile and sometimes engaging in friendly banter with customers. Will definitely come back.
Food was good but front of house staff were a little lacking in common sense and no cheak back in meals the atmosphere was nice over all.... gluten free cack was a little dry tho
